This Privacy Policy explains what information Wall of AI collects when you purchase a placement on the wall, how it is used, and who it is shared with. By using this site or completing a purchase, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

When you purchase a placement, we collect the information you submit in the purchase form:

• Your email address
• Your project or startup name (optional)
• The destination URL you want your placement to link to
• Alt text describing your placement
• The logo image you upload
• The position and size of the blocks you select on the grid

We do not collect or store your payment card details. Card data is entered directly into Stripe's checkout page and never touches our servers — see Section 3.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

• Create and process your placement, including reserving blocks during checkout
• Process payment through Stripe and confirm your purchase
• Review your submission for compliance with our Terms & Conditions
• Display your logo and link publicly on the wall once approved
• Contact you about the status of your placement, if needed

3. Payment Processing

All payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number, expiry date, and CVC are entered directly on Stripe's checkout page and are never sent to or stored on our servers. We only receive your email address and a confirmation that payment succeeded. Stripe's use of your information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

4. Public Visibility of Placements

Wall of AI is a public wall by design. Once your placement is approved, your uploaded logo, destination URL, and alt text become publicly visible to anyone who views the wall, and remain visible for as long as the placement stays live. Your email address and project name are not displayed publicly — they are used only for internal administration and communication.

5. Data Retention

Because Wall of AI commits to keeping approved placements online for a minimum of 5 years, placement data (logo, link, alt text, and block position) is retained for as long as the placement remains active, consistent with that commitment. Owner records (email and name) are retained alongside your placement for administration and support purposes. If a placement is rejected or cancelled before going live, its associated data may still be retained for record-keeping and fraud-prevention purposes.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on the following third parties to operate Wall of AI. Each processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security practices:

• Stripe — payment processing and checkout
• Vercel — application hosting and storage of uploaded logo images (Vercel Blob)
• Neon — hosting of our PostgreSQL database

7. Cookies

Wall of AI does not use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. The only cookie we set is a session cookie used to keep administrators signed in to the moderation dashboard. This cookie is not set for regular visitors browsing or purchasing a placement on the public site.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (such as your email or name) by reaching out through our contact page. Note that deleting the underlying data for a live placement may require taking the placement down, since the logo and link are inherently part of the public wall while active.

9. EU/UK Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the legal basis for processing the data associated with your purchase (email, name, placement details) is the performance of a contract with you — namely, fulfilling your order for a placement on the wall. You have the rights available under the GDPR, including the rights described in Section 8 above, which you can exercise via our contact page.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
